About Danny

This tournament/scholarship fund is in memory of one of the greatest guys to ever live, Danny Rogers.

When Danny left us, the world lost a great guy far earlier than it should have.

Danny was, and always will be remembered for being a great friend, brother, cousin and son. I will miss him, as we all will, but he will never be forgotten. He had an impact on too many of us for that to be possible.

Danny was incredibly easy to like, and even easier to talk to. He would sit for hours and listen to someone talk about godnknowswhat and show that he was interested in what that person was saying, regardless of whether or not he actually was.

He was also incredibly easy to have fun with. It didn't matter what you were doing, you could have fun with Danny.

He had the best sense of humor, and would laugh at EVERYTHING. You always felt like you were the funniest guy on the planet when you were with Danny. If you told a joke and he didn't laugh you knew it was a terrible one. Of course, Danny always made the rest of us laugh too; whether it was intentionally:

...or unintentionally:

Danny was a special guy. I consider myself lucky to have had Danny as my best friend my entire life. He was more than just a cousin to me, my brother Chris, and sister Ashley. Danny was, still is, and always will be, our brother.

Danny had more friends than anyone I have ever known. None closer than his Highland Boys. He loved all of those guys.

As much as Danny loved his friends, he loved his family more than anything. His mom & dad and his three sisters: Katie, Kelley & Kara, were everything to him.

Danny loved spending time with his family. Golfing with his Dad, Catchphrase with his sisters and cousins, family vacations to the Outerbanks and their March Madness trips.

We love you, Danny. Missing you more and more everyday!
